WB Models WB2010
WB Models WB2010 replicates in 1/200 scale diecast the B777-381ER (-81 is Boeing’s customer code for All Nippon Airways) registration JA789A in All Nippon Airways (ANA) “Star Wars BB-8” livery.
ANA & Walt Disney
Starting in 2015, ANA, Japan’s largest airline, as part of an agreement with the Walt Disney Company (Japan), decorated four of their aircraft with Star Wars” themed Liveries.
The first was a Boeing 787-9 registration JA873A in the “R2-D2” theme, followed by a B777-300ER, JA789A in the “BB-8” theme, a character from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The third is a B777-200, registration JA743A, in predominantly yellow, which is the “C-3PO” theme. The fourth is a Boeing 767-300ER, registration JA604A, with “R2-D2” (port side) and “BB-8” (starboard side).
JA789A in the “BB-8” theme was withdrawn from service in March 2022.
Boeing 777
The B777 is a long-range wide-body twin-engine jet airliner. It first flew on June 12, 1994, and entered service (777-200) on June 7, 1995, with United Airlines. The largest commercial twinjet, the first designed entirely with a computer and Boeing’s first fly-by-wire.
One of the world’s longest-range airliners, the 777-200LR can fly more than halfway around the globe and holds the record for the longest non-stop flight by a commercial aircraft.
The flight crew consists of two pilots, and the passenger cabin seats 314 to 396 passengers depending on variant and seating arrangement.
The 777 uses two General Electric GE90 or Pratt & Whitney PW4000 or Rolls-Royce Trent 800 engines, axial-flow turbofan engines pylon mounted, one under each wing.
