JC Wings JC2EIN329 / XX2329 replicates in 1/200 scale diecast the B767-224ER (-24; Boeing’s customer code for Continental Airlines / United Airlines) registration N234AX in Aer Lingus livery, leased from Omni Air International circa June 2016.
Aer Lingus
Aer Lingus is the flag carrier airline of Ireland operating domestic and international services. Founded in 1963 by the Government. Privatised began in 2006, ending in 2015 with a takeover by International Airlines Group (IAG).
Boeing 767
The B767 is an American wide-body, twin-engine long-haul monoplane jet airliner, Boeing’s first wide-body twinjet. The maiden flight took place on September 26, 1981, with the first variant, the 767-200, entering service on September 8, 1982, with United Airlines. Next, the extended-range 767-200ER in 1984, the 767-300 in 1986, the 767-300ER in 1988, the 767-300F freighter version in 1995 and the further stretched 767-400ER in 2000.
It has a flight crew of two pilots and, depending on the model can seat up to 375 passengers depending on layout and variant. It uses two Rolls-Royce RB211 or Pratt & Whitney JT9D series high bypass turbofans, pylon mounted one under each wing. Production ended in 2004, with 1,050 airframes of all variants completed.
