Embraer E-Jet Family
The Embraer E-Jet family consists of narrow-body short to medium-range twin-turbofan airliners. It first flew on February 19, 2002 (E170), entering service in March 2004. The revamped E-Jet E2 family was launched at the 2013 Paris Air Show.
The main variants are:
- E170 is the smallest model, seating 72 in a typical single class and 66 in two classes
- E175 is a slightly stretched version, seating 78 in a standard single class and 76 in two classes
- E190/195 models are larger stretches fitted with more powerful engines, a larger wing and horizontal stabilizer and carry up to 124 in a single class or 100 in a two-classes
Each variant is available in standard (STD), long-range (LR), and advanced-range (AR: IGW) configurations.
The flight crew consists of two pilots. The E-Family uses two General Electric CF34 high-bypass axial-flow turbofan engines, pylon mounted under each wing.
