GoJet Airlines flies the Bombardier CRJ-550, registration N506GJ, on behalf of United Express. This regional jet started as a CRJ-700 before a major conversion process adapted it to the CRJ-550 standard. The transformation introduced modern features and expanded the aircraft’s operational flexibility. GoJet took delivery of N506GJ in October 2019 and soon applied United’s “EvoBlue” paint scheme.

United developed the CRJ-550 to meet scope clause regulations, which limit the number and size of regional jets. Rather than retiring older jets, engineers redesigned the cabin by reducing seating capacity to 50. This inventive modification enabled the CRJ-550 to comply with airline labour agreements while offering a reimagined passenger experience.

The CRJ-550’s cabin features 10 seats in United First, 20 in Economy Plus, and 20 in standard Economy. Passengers benefit from comforts uncommon in most regional jets, such as a self-serve refreshment bar in first class and ample closet space that keeps roller bags out of the cargo hold.
