This Icelandair Boeing 757-200, repainted in Pan American livery, completed a 10-day tour designed to ‘revive the glamour of travel’s golden age’ in 2025. Beginning in New York, the journey includes stops in Bermuda, Portugal, France, the United Kingdom, and Ireland before returning to New York City. The exclusive tour, limited to just over 50 passengers, costs approximately $60,000 per ticket.

The B757 is an American narrow-body, twin-engine airliner that was developed in parallel with the wide-body 767 to serve short- to medium-range routes.

The aircraft had its maiden flight on February 19, 1982, and the first production variant, the 757-200, entered service with Eastern Airlines in January 1983. The 757-200 is available in passenger, freighter, or passenger-freighter combi models, and military derivatives include the C-32 transport.

The stretched variant, the 757-300, is the longest narrow-body twinjet and began operations in 1999.

Production of the 757 ended in 2004, with a total of 1,050 airframes of all variants completed.

Two pilots operate the cockpit, and the passenger cabin can seat up to 295 passengers, depending on the variant.

Power comes from two Rolls-Royce RB211 or Pratt & Whitney PW2000 series turbofan engines, each mounted on a pylon beneath the wings.
