It was founded in September 1946 by Australian Sydney H. de Kantzow and American Roy C. Farrell. Subsidiary airlines are Cathay Pacific Cargo, Cathay Dragon, and Air Hong Kong, an all-cargo airline. Airbus A321neo

The  Airbus A321neo (new engine option) is a short-to-medium-range, narrow-bodied, twin-engine jet airliner. Its maiden flight took place on February 9, 2016, and entered service with Virgin America on May 31, 2017.

This model features the longest fuselage in the A320 family and represents the latest version of the A321, enhancing fuel efficiency, range, and payload capacity.

The A321neo incorporates the Airbus Cabin-Flex (ACF) layout, which was initially offered as an option but became standard in 2020. This layout increases passenger capacity from 200 to 240 by adding more exit doors and modifying the rear fuselage section.

The main sub-variants are:

• A321neo: LR (Long Range) with a range of 7,400 km (4,600 mi).
• A321neo: XLR (Extra Long Range) offers a range of 8,700 km (5,410 mi).

The cockpit crew typically comprises two pilots, and the passenger cabin can accommodate 206 passengers in a two-class configuration, 220 in a single-class arrangement, or up to 244 in a high-density setup.

Two engines, Pratt & Whitney PW1100G or CFM International LEAP-1A, mounted on pylons beneath each wing, power the A321neo. These engines are designed to reduce maintenance costs and offer approximately 15% better fuel efficiency.
