JC Wings XX20329
JC Wings XX20329 is a 1/200 scale diecast model of the Saab 340A, registration ZK-NLP, operated by Air Nelson in Air New Zealand Link livery.
Air New Zealand Link
Air New Zealand Link is the brand under which Air New Zealand’s regional services operate. It was introduced in 1991 to standardise the branding of the three airlines operating on its behalf: Mount Cook Airline, Air Nelson, and Eagle Airways, which ceased operations in 2016.
The Saab 340 is a Swedish twin-turboprop monoplane regional airliner that first took flight on January 25, 1983, with the Saab 340A model and entered service with Crossair in June 1984.
Saab initially manufactured the aircraft in partnership with Fairchild Aircraft, which designated it SF340. In 1987, Fairchild withdrew from the partnership, and the aircraft designation was changed to Saab 340.
The Saab 340B made its first flight in 1989. This version featured more powerful engines, wider horizontal stabilisers, and an optional active noise and vibration control system. The final variant, the 340B Plus, entered service in 1994. This model came standard with the active noise and vibration control system, extended wingtips, and an updated interior. Production of all variants concluded in June 1999, with a total of 459 airframes built.
Specialised variants of the Saab 340 include an airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) aircraft, designated S100B Argus, used by the Swedish Air Force, and a search-and-rescue version for the Japanese Maritime Safety Agency.
The flight crew consists of two pilots, and the passenger cabin typically seats between 30 and 36 passengers, arranged three abreast along a single aisle.
The Saab 340 is powered by two General Electric CT7-9B turboprop engines, each driving a Dowty Rotol or Hamilton Standard four-blade constant-speed propeller.
Pay in 4 is available on qualifying purchases from $30.00 to $1,500.00. Available to PayPal account holders who meet eligibility criteria.
