JC Wings LH2401

JC Wings LH2401 is a 1/200 scale diecast model of the de Havilland Canada DHC-8-100 (Dash 8), registration G-BRYH, named “Lanarkshire / Siorrachd Lannraig” operated by Brymon Airways in British Airways livery from circa 1993.

DHC-8-102, a 1986 variant powered by PW120A or PW121 engines, increased MTOW to 34,500 lb (15,650 kg) over previous models.

British Airways

British Airways (BA), the flag carrier airline of the United Kingdom, was formed in March 1974 with the merger of the nationalised British Overseas Airways Corporation (BOAC), British European Airways (BEA) and the two regional airlines, Cambrian Airways and Northeast Airlines.

The British government privatised the airline in February 1987.

de Havilland Canada DHC-8

The de Havilland Canada DHC-8 (Dash 8) is a Canadian twin-engine regional airliner developed from the Dash 7. It features improved cruise performance and lower operational costs, although it does not have short takeoff and landing (STOL) capabilities. The maiden flight took place on June 20, 1983, and entered service in 1984 with NorOntair and Piedmont Airlines. The Dash 8 is manufactured in four variants: the initial -100, which seats 37-40 passengers; the more powerful -200; the stretched -300, which accommodates 50-56 seats; and the -400, which holds 68-90 seats. The Q Series, introduced in 1997, includes an active noise control system. The Q-400 is the only model currently in production.

In 1988, Boeing purchased de Havilland Canada, but it was sold to Bombardier in 1992. In 2019, Longview Aviation Capital acquired the manufacturing rights to the Q-400 and revitalised the de Havilland Canada brand.

The cockpit crew consists of two pilots, while the passenger cabin typically accommodates between 37 and 82 passengers, depending on the variant.

The Dash 8 is powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada turboprop engines, mounted one on each wing. These engines drive either four-bladed Hamilton Sundstrand propellers or six-blade Dowty propellers.

Warning: Choking Hazard! Not suitable for children under 14 years of age or individuals who tend to place inedible objects in their mouths. Adult collectable - designed for static display - Not a toy.
