British Aerospace BAe 146/Avro RJ

The BAe 146 is a British four-engine short-haul high-winged airliner designed for short-field operation. It was manufactured by British Aerospace and later by BAE Systems.

Avro International Aerospace produces a modernised version of the BAe 146, the Avro RJ, which features updated engines and avionics. Production began in 1992 and concluded in 2001, resulting in 394 airframes built.

The BAe 146 and the Avro RJ are available in three different variants: the -100, -200, and -300 for the BAe 146, and equivalent Avro RJ versions are RJ70, RJ85, and RJ100. Each version is also offered in freighter configurations designated as QT (Quiet Trader) and convertible passenger-to-freight options labelled QC (Quick Change).

The cockpit crew consists of two pilots, and depending on the variant and cabin layout, the passenger cabin can seat up to 112 people.
The BAe 146 uses four Lycoming ALF 502R-5 and the Avro RJ, Honeywell LF 507-1F high-bypass turbofan engines, pylon mounted, two under each wing.
