Hobby Master HA6626B 1/72 Air Power Series

Hobby Master 1/72 Air Power Series HA6626B is a 1/72 scale diecast model of the Eurofighter Typhoon FGR 4 with serial number ZJ913 and squadron code FM-G in a commemorative D-Day scheme. The aircraft is from No. 29 Squadron and is part of the 2024 RAF Typhoon Display Team based at RAF Coningsby.

Hawker Typhoon FM-G

The aircraft is painted in a 1944 ‘Day Fighter’ scheme commemorating the Hawker Typhoon squadron code FM-G of No. 257 Squadron RAF, which Pilot Officer Denzel Jenkins flew on D-Day.

Eurofighter Typhoon

Until 1998, the Eurofighter Typhoon was named the EF2000. It is a fourth-generation delta and canard-winged single-seat, twin-engine, highly agile multirole fighter produced by Eurofighter Jagdflugzeug GmbH, a consortium of Airbus, BAE Systems, and Leonardo.

The Typhoon’s maiden flight occurred on March 27, 1994, and it entered operational service in 2003. The Typhoon made its combat debut during the military intervention in Libya in 2011 with the Royal Air Force and the Italian Air Force. It serves Austria, Italy, Germany, Spain, and the United Kingdom, as well as Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, and Qatar in the Middle East, and is still in production.

It uses two Eurojet EJ200 axial-flow after-burning turbofan engines based on the Rolls-Royce XG-40 technology demonstrator.
The armament consists of a single internally mounted cannon and thirteen external hardpoints, each capable of carrying 9,000 kg (19,800 lb) of stores.
