Hobby Master HA6019 1/72 Air Power Series
Hobby Master 1/72 Air Power Series HA6019 is a 1/72 scale diecast model of the Sukhoi Su-27P (NATO reporting name: Flanker B) s/n RF-33753, bort number “Red 98”, of the Aviatsia Voenno-Morskovo Flota Rossii (MA VMF: Naval Aviation of the Russian Navy), circa 2020.
The Sukhoi Su-27, NATO reporting name Flanker, is a Russian single-seat, twin-engine fighter known for its long-range capabilities and supermaneuverability. It made its inaugural flight on May 20, 1977, and entered service with the Soviet Air Force (VVS) in June 1985.
The Su-27 was the first Soviet aircraft to feature a fly-by-wire control system and predominantly digital avionics. The Su-27S, the initial single-seat production variant, underwent upgrades in 2004, leading to the designation Su-27SM. Export variants include the Su-27SK and the tandem-seat Su-27UBK, with China producing the Su-27SK under license as the Shenyang J-11.
Two Saturn AL-31 after-burning turbofan engines, mounted internally side by side at the rear of the fuselage, power the Su-27. The aircraft’s armour consists of one internal autocannon located in the starboard wing root and ten external hardpoints capable of carrying 4,430 kg (9,770 lb) of stores.
