Royal Air Maroc (RAM) is the national carrier of Morocco and the country’s largest airline. It is a government-owned entity that operates both domestic and international services, founded in July 1953 with the merger of Compagnie Chérifienne de l’Air (Air Atlas) and Compagnie Chérifienne de Transports Aériens Air Maroc. Subsidiary airlines are RAM Cargo and RAM Express.

Boeing 737-100/200/Advanced

The Boeing 737 is an American short to medium-range twin-engine, narrow-body airliner. The first flight (737-100) took place on April 9, 1967, entering service on February 10, 1968, with Lufthansa. Boeing built thirty B737-100s  before production ceased in favour of the 737-200.

The maiden flight of the 737-200 took place on August 8, 1967, with the first delivery to United Airlines on December 29, 1967. Variants were the 737-200C (Combi) and 737-200QC (Quick Change). The USAF designated them as the T-43 (navigation trainers) and CT-43 (passenger trainers).

The -200 differs from the -100 by a 153 cm (60.2 in) longer fuselage, increased gross weight, and range. In addition, the 737-200 Advanced featured improved aerodynamics, more powerful engines, increased fuel capacity, and a gross weight and airframe components made of graphite-epoxy composites.

The final 737-200 scheduled passenger service in the US occurred in 2008 with Aloha Airlines. Boeing built 1,114 airframes before production ended in 1988.

The cockpit crew consists of two pilots, and the passenger cabin typically seats 110 in two classes, accommodating up to 130 in a single class. It used two Pratt & Whitney JT8D low-bypass turbofan engines, pylon-mounted one under each wing.
