AviaBoss A2052 is a 1/200 scale diecast model of the Airbus A321-211 (-11; CFM International CFM56-5B3/P) registration VQ-BOZ in Ural Airlines livery.

Ural Airlines

Ural Airlines is a Russian airline that operates domestic and international scheduled and charter flights. Founded in 1943 as Sverdlovsk State Air Enterprises, it was renamed Ural Airlines following Aeroflot’s split-up in 1993.

Ural Airlines Flight 178

Ural Airlines Flight 178 was a scheduled passenger flight from Moscow to Simferopol, Crimea. On August 15, 2019, the Airbus Registration VQ-BOZ operating the flight, carrying 226 passengers and seven crew members, suffered a bird strike shortly after takeoff. The aircraft lost power and crash-landed in a cornfield 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) from the airport. All on board survived, with 74 passengers sustaining minor injuries. Damage to the aircraft was beyond repair.

Airbus A321

The Airbus A321 is a short- to medium-range, narrow-bodied, twin-engine jet airliner. Its maiden flight took place on March 11, 1993, and it entered service with Lufthansa on January 27, 1994.

This aircraft features the longest fuselage in Airbus’s A320 series and is manufactured in two main variants: the original A321-100 and the A321-200, which offers a longer range and higher maximum takeoff weight (MTOW).

The main sub-variants are:

• 321neo: The latest version, which offers increased fuel efficiency, range, and payload capacity, with a range of 6,480 km (4,030 mi).
• A321neo: LR (Long Range) has a range of 7,400 km (4,600 mi).
• A321neo: XLR (Extra Long Range) Offers a range of 8,700 km (5,410 mi).

The cockpit crew typically consists of two pilots. The passenger cabin can accommodate 185 or 206 in a two-class configuration, or 220 or 244 in a single-class arrangement.

The two engines that power the A321 are either CFM56 or IAE V2500. The 321neo uses the more fuel-efficient Pratt & Whitney PW1000G or CFM International LEAP 1A engines. All these engines are high-bypass axial-flow turbofan engines mounted on pylons, with one engine under each wing.
