Aeromar

Transportes Aeromar, commonly known as Aeromar, was a Mexican airline that provided scheduled domestic and international flights to the United States and Cuba. Established as a private company on January 29, 1987, Aeromar faced financial difficulties and ultimately ceased operations on February 15, 2023.

Bombardier CRJ100/200

The Bombardier CRJ100 and CRJ200 are Canadian twin-engine regional airliners derived from the Challenger CL-600 business jet. Developed as part of Bombardier’s Canadair Regional Jet program. The maiden flight occurred on May 10, 1991, and the aircraft entered service with Lufthansa CityLine in October 1992. The regional jets’ designations serve marketing purposes, while their official name is CL-600-2B19.

The CRJ200 is similar to the CRJ100, but it features a more efficient engine that results in lower fuel consumption and increased cruising altitude and speed. Production of these aircraft ceased in 2006, with a total of 1,021 airframes built.

The cockpit crew consists of two pilots, and the passenger cabin can accommodate up to 50 passengers, depending on the specific variant. Propulsion is by two General Electric CF34 high-bypass turbofan engines, mounted externally on each side of the rear fuselage.
